Privacy
Are there any contact data transferred somewhere?
No, all contact data accessed by Kontaktr are for local use (direct communication to catch up with contacts) only.
Contacts
How can I catch up with instant messaging contacts?
Add your contact’s instant messaging user name to your contact’s card in Contacts (Address Book), either using the social media or the instant messaging field. The following services are supported by iOS directly:
- Skype
The following services are supported if the corresponding app is installed on your iOS device:
- LINE
- Threema
- Telegram
Finally, these services can be added by creating a custom new service within the social media or instant messaging field:
- Snapchat
Are the contact details stored within the app?
No, apart from the photo, first- and last name, only a reference to your contact in Contacts is stored. This way, if you update any phone number, etc. in Contacts, there is no need to update the contact details in Kontaktr.
Communication
There is no link for direct communication via WhatsApp or any other service using a phone number
In order to keep the contact view more clear, only phone numbers of type ‘mobile’ and ‘iPhone’ are used to create communication links. The type of phone number can be changed in the Contacts app.
